It’s
the texture, I think. I dislike jellied fruit (as in fruitcakes), gumdrops,
jelly beans, and all things gummy (bears, Swedish fish, vitamins, whatever).
Someone was telling me about marijuana gummies. (Who was it? Were we drinking?) I hate gummies so much that I don’t
think I’d even want to try those. I’d rather smoke.
Ha. I quite like jellied fruit except in as in fruitcakes.
ReplyDeleteAlso Ha! I can take them or leave them. But agree that the texture of a food is all important.
ReplyDeleteI detest jelly beans, but I feel gummy bears are a different entity entirely and I could happily consume them, especially as an "edible."
ReplyDeleteNo gummies for me either. Here's a non-sequitur: One of my neighbors, a local person, pronounces the gums in one's mouth as gooms. I wonder if she eats goomies.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like that. My friend's mother says pooosh for push. I wonder if it's a similar thing? A slightly different shift, but a shift all the same.
DeleteI once heard someone on a YouTube video say she needed to floof the pillows.
DeleteWhen I was a kid someone (or many someones) pronounced "gums" the same way. I think it was to differentiate it from the "gum" you chew.
