I’ve had only one broken
bone—a toe—back when the eighties themselves were slipping into the nineties.
My accident is telling: it happened as I ran barefoot to the refrigerator
during a commercial break. Which is
the more embarrassing part of this sad tale: the necessary snacking or that the
dash-deserving TV show was Roseanne?
Then I share your shame. I like Roseanne.
ReplyDeleteBut would you watch it today? Aside from being a toe-breaker, isn't Roseanne Barr a major Trump supporter?
ReplyDeleteLast night I watched the premiere episodes of the reboot. I'm still in, for now. Even with her as Trump supporter, which is insane. But so far they are handling it well...
DeleteI am shocked!
DeleteYes. And her character is too. But she also positively addresses transgender issues, so it's not a deal breaker for me.
ReplyDeleteShe's a complicated one, isn't she?
DeleteAh, the days before pre-recording everything. Also - I'm starting to think we are connected. In early 1990, I broke my first bone - my little toe.
ReplyDeleteMine was little one, right side, hit the door frame.
DeleteMy first broken bone was my baby toe when I kicked my gymnastics coach who was spotting me on the uneven parallel bars. Can we start a secret club?
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteI can't quit Roseanne, even when I want to.
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to break a bone!
ReplyDeleteYeah. Roseanne. I admit I watched the first season -- most episodes, if not all. I refuse to watch it now because I am so disgusted with her politics.
